Salon Contemporarys latest project has been working in conjuction with Wolf & Badger and curator Nathalie Levi, in Wolf & Badger Summer Residency at Selfridges, taking place in their Wonder Room, incorporating their the finest art, jewellery and design pieces.
Not only that, within the programme are a selection of fantastic interactive experiences from various performances that will take place in Selfridges department store on Oxford Street, varying from those of music, dance, live art and dj's as part of the three week programme of events taking place 12-31 August.
Tuesday 24th - Wednesday 25th shows the worldwide talent of Bill Aitchison, providing the rare opportunity to see his highly regarding perfomance lecture 2012, which plays upon the borders of truth and fiction in art, politics, propaganda and entertainment.
Thursday 26th Vanessa Harden, Kevin Hill and Ben Fagen collaborate to present the first stage of their beehive experimental art, where they will exhibit their beehive sculpture and video installation. Also joined by a live painting performance from Joao Noro at 11am, followed by Keira Rathbones typewriter art performance inspired by nature, people and places at 12pm.
Saturday 28th performing 11am Natalie Marie Dray will demonstrate an alian Dance performance, 4pm will be a retun form McGarrity with his Human Plinth performance. The day is closed by classically trained singer Caroline Pooley who at 7pm will shock you with her beautiful huge voice.
Sunday 29th Sophie Cullinan's Worn, interactive sculpture will accompany from 11am, Anna Ricciardi and her theatrical mermaid performance. Matt Cowan will later perform at 1-1.20 jig and 1.20-4pm Dj Set, influenced by established folk customs of the modern world.
There is such an amazing selection of performances to witness within this temporary resisdency.
